What I leave behind

mlk2

Today I offer to the wind

my skin so thin

unsteady spine

a thought that cares

about what’s mine

A wish for love

a want for fine

A hug in winter

toast by fire

Today I leave

all thought

‘twould mire

I subjugate

my heart

to hire

no quarrelsome

irate

desire
